I sincerely appreciate the many phone calls and emails I receive from around the world regarding herd management and behavioral difficulties with alpacas and llamas. I wish I were able to immediately respond to each and every one. Unfortunately, the volume of requests makes that impossible.

My extensive travel to present clinics, speak at conferences and provide private work (as well as wanting to enjoy my own family and herd) has made it necessary to organize my email and telephone consultations.

Many consultation requests require a good bit of inititial time to mutually identify and review behaviors, background and put together a "lesson plan." While I am most happy to do this, it has become necessary for me to receive compensation for email and telephone consultations.

It is impossible to guarantee results through any consultation. Experience reminds me that a great deal of the ultimate resolution lies in our own personal willingness and commitment towards understanding and change within our own behaviors and environments. Should you truly be unhappy with a consultation, I will happily refund your payment.

Email Consultations

Please make the Subject line read - EMAIL CONSULT REQUEST. (Click the link above to automatically open and address your email)

In your initial email provide lots of detail regarding your question. The more detail the better.

Depending upon the nature of the email question, it may be necessary to talk by telephone to complete the consultation. If so, I'll let you know right away!

Email Consultation Fees

$35 for up to 4 replies from me.

5 or more email replies from me
$10 each

Email Consultations Escalating to a Telephone Consultation

First call - $35 for up to 1 hour. $15 for each 1/2 hour after that.

Follow-up calls - $15 per 1/2 hour.

If the consultation is escalated to a phone consult, I will charge a fee of $10 for each email reply from me prior to escalating the email consultation to a telephone consultation. I will quickly know if the email consultation needs to be escalated to a telephone consultation and I'll let you know right away! I won't charge for emails to set up the phone call.

Telephone Consultations

The most efficient way to begin a telephone consultation is send me an email which provides lots of detail concerning your question.

Knowing the nature of your call in advance is important so I can already be thinking about your specific situation.

You can also initiate the consultation by calling me during business hours. We'll set up an appointment for the telephone consultation.

Telephone Consultation Fees

Billing and Payments

When the consultation is completed I will email you a bill for the total fee.
